$30,000 Kickoff Promotion Details

We are kicking off redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens while the Georgia Bulldogs are going for a 3-Peat! To celebrate both, we are doing a promotion and hope to give away $30,000 to one lucky redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens supporter.

If the Georgia Bulldogs run back the kickoff for a touchdown to open the game or the second half in the 2024 National Championship game on January 8, 2024, then one supporter will win a $30,000 prize (subject to the following rules):

Participation Rules:

  • No purchase necessary to enter.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Entries are accomplished in either of two ways:
    • Rental of a dumpster from redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens
    • Sharing one of our Facebook posts and putting the hashtag “#30KDawgs” in the post
  • Current or former employees, family members, agents, successors, or assignees of redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens or any promotional agency involved with this promotion shall be INELIGIBLE to participate.
  • Odds On Promotions (OOP), redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens, and redbox+ Dumpsters reserves the right to use the winner’s name and likeness for promotional purposes without further notice or compensation.
  • The winner is responsible for any and all state and federal taxes.
  • Limitation of Liability: This promotion is being conducted exclusively by redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens . By entering, participate agrees to release and hold harmless redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens and its affiliates, including but not limited to Redbox+ International LLC and all associated redbox+ franchisees, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the $30,000 Kickoff Promotion and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the $30,000 Kickoff Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the $30,000 Kickoff Promotion or the processing of entries.

Kickoff Rules:

  • In order to qualify, a member of the University of Georgia Bulldogs football team must return an eligible Kickoff (defined as the Opening Kickoff of the game or the second half while they are the receiving team).
  • A kickoff returned for a touchdown must be scored as such in the official box score. A kickoff returned for a touchdown and nullified by a penalty is ineligible and will not be considered for prize reimbursement.
  • The eligibility of any kickoff returned for a touchdown is subject to the NCAA rules of football.
  • A “kickoff” is defined as: A place kick or drop kick that starts each half and extra period and follows each extra point attempt and field goal.
  • A touchdown scored by the kickoff team is ineligible and will not be considered for prize reimbursement.

Selection Process Rules:

  • During the National Championship game, if the kickoff is returned by the UGA Bulldogs during the opening kickoff of the game or the second half when they are the receiving team, redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens will go through the following process to award the prize:
    • On the day of the National Championship game but prior to kickoff, we will create a list of eligible names by downloading our list of people who have ordered dumpsters from us in 2023 and the list of people who have shared one of our Facebook posts and used the hashtag identified above. We will find this by searching for the hashtag on Facebook.
    • We will then place all participants in a spreadsheet.
    • Present will be our owners and our General Manager.
    • Within one hour of the conclusion of the 2 nd half kickoff, we will use Excel and the RANDBETWEEN function to randomly select a winner.
    • We will attempt to contact that person through a phone call, Facebook messenger, or Facebook posting from our Facebook page.
    • That person will have 15 minutes to contact us and confirm their eligibility for the prize. If we cannot contact that person in a 15-minute period, we will remove that person’s name from the list and reselect. We will follow a similar procedure if we find that a person is ineligible to receive the prize.
    • Once we have confirmed a winner, we will make arrangements to meet with the winner at 8 AM the morning following the National Championship game. We will sign Affidavits for both the winner and redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens. We will then combine that with an official box score of the game and will furnish all of the above items to OOP before end of the day.

Post Selection Rules:

  • Upon receipt of proof of claim, OOP may require the Winner and company officials to take a polygraph examination as a condition to payment of the claim if, in the sole opinion of OOP such an examination is warranted by the facts.
  • Immediate telephone notice by redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Athens to the claims department of OOP will be reported no later than the first business day after the promotion.
