A roll-off dumpster is perfect for those in charge of commercial, industrial, or residential projects, as it can take care of a large amount of trash and debris quickly and efficiently. A roll-off dumpster is useful for getting rid of large amounts of waste that won’t fit in your regular garbage can.
We understand that every job is different. That’s why we offer both 20 and 30-yard* containers for your convenience, so you can choose the perfect option for your needs.
A 20-yard roll-off dumpster can hold roughly twenty cubic yards of material. This is equivalent to filling the bed of six pick-up trucks with debris or approximately 110 – 130 trash bags.
A 30-yard roll-off dumpster can accommodate thirty cubic yards of material. Comparatively, this is like filling the beds of nine pickup trucks with debris or an estimated 170 – 190 33 – gallon trash bags.
*Please note that dimensions may differ according to manufacturer design; indicated measurements are general and capacities are approximate.
Before you dispose of trash on your construction site, take the time to understand the rules. Roll-off dumpsters may be a quick and easy way to get rid of waste, but there are still regulations in place. Various guidelines help identify banned items, but as a rule of thumb, any waste item that is flammable, toxic, hazardous or corrosive should not be placed in a container. If you’re unsure if an item can be thrown in the dumpster, check our blog or give us a call for clarification.
Tires: more than 250 million scrap tires are generated annually in the U.S. All tires need to go through a special recycling process instead of being thrown in a landfill.
Paints: paints, lacquers, and even their cans sometimes contain harmful elements. Mercury and lead are the most common culprits.
Motor oils: oils that are used in vehicles and industrial equipment are generally considered to be hazardous.
Asbestos: this is a highly dangerous mineral fiber that was once used to make construction materials more flame-resistant. It was used for ceilings, roofing, flooring, insulation, and more primarily in structures built before the late 1970s.
Batteries: the chemicals, metals, and corrosive materials in batteries can pose a serious threat. This is particularly true for car batteries, which have a lead-acid composition.
Fuels: petroleum and gasoline are highly flammable and for that reason alone, they are banned at landfills. Unusable fuels can be disposed of at a local hazardous waste center.
When we take care of the environment, people always show appreciation. To avoid any future problems, it is crucial that you know what items you can dispose of and how to properly do so.

Yes, the portable toilets will be set up and prepped for use by the driver before leaving the job site.
Having a portable restroom on a construction site is an OSHA standard and is considered a best practice. Having a portable toilet on your job site actually provides more efficiency for you as well as environmental and reputational benefit.
Providing a porta potty on your job site has many benefits, the least of which is reducing the time employees must spend searching for an alternative restroom. According to a study by PSAI, portable restrooms can save employers up to 2 hours per week in lost productivity.
The annual cost of 10 minutes of wasted toilet time per employee, per day:
Formula: hourly rate divided by 60 minutes per hour x 10 minutes x number of employees x 255 days per year.
For more information regarding this study, please contact the Portable Sanitation Association International.
